netball umpires rules
women's basketball rules, scoring one goal after the whistle has blown for time?
hey last night I played netball and punctuation was 23:23, the other team shot a goal and the rule is "the ball must be completely through the ring before the whistle for time was called." The happened, that shot on goal, the doorbell rang early the ball through the ring but the referee's whistle, not until about 5 seconds after it the goal to count and lost the game. I asked about this and said it was on the referees whistle. This seems strange, as if this is the case, the arbitrator may last play as 5 minutes after the bell has flown? Please someone can give me some direction where this rule is justified? not only ur opinion … thanks!
The whistle of the referees Unfortunally. The arbiter control and can not do anything about it. But from the games I've played and refereed, if someone takes a photograph and the buzzer goes, let them take the photo before you breath. just have fun and do not worry too much about the results!

Rules of Engagement
$7.59 William Friedkin unleashes his flare for tense action and gripping suspense in RULES OF ENGAGEMENT, an exciting military legal thriller that examines the moral gray area of combat experience and reflects on the ethos of the American military in the late 20th century. When the U.S. embassy in Yemen is stormed by anti-American protesters, Marine Colonel Terry Childers (an intense Samuel L. Jackson) rescues Ambassador Mourain (Ben Kingsley) from the explosive siege, and under fire from snipers within the crowd, he orders his men to return fire, resulting in many civilian casualties. To appease international outrage at an apparent war crime, the U.S. government court-martials Childers for violating the Marine's "rules of engagement," and his only hope rests on Marine lawyer Colonel Hayes Hodges (Tommy Lee Jones), a veteran who owes Childers his life for, ironically, a war crime committed by Childers in the Vietnam War. An intense, chiaroscuro courtroom drama and brutal combat film, RULES OF ENGAGEMENT takes a difficult look at the moral ambiguity of life in combat and the value of guilt, honor, and loyal sacrifice in the duty to one's country. Rules of Attraction
$7.59 THE RULES OF ATTRACTION, based on the novel by Bret Easton Ellis, stars James Van Der Beek (DAWSON'S CREEK) as Sean Bateman, campus drug-dealer and 24-hour-a-day reveler at affluent Camden College. A senior at the New England school, Sean is caught up in a nihilistic love triangle. He has a crush on Lauren (Shannyn Sossamon), an arty virgin who is saving herself for a vapid, vacationing ex-boyfriend, while Paul (Ian Somerhalder), a beautiful bisexual, has a crush on Sean. Every night is a party at Camden, where students celebrate with a "Dress to Get Screwed" theme and teachers appear more often on the dance floor than in the classroom. Director Roger Avary conveys the individual angst of the three lovelorn main characters in a series of vignettes, using their different perspectives to weave together a complex tale of misunderstanding, drug binges, alienated sex and violence, and above all, extreme loneliness. Equal parts fantasy and reality, THE RULES OF ATTRACTION, like other Ellis adaptations LESS THAN ZERO and AMERICAN PSYCHO, is a deeply observant, daring antiestablishment film. Camden College and its characters resonate with the very real despair and rebellion of many generations of university students. Copyright (C) Muze Inc. 2005. For personal use only. Brooklyn Rules
$22.76 BROOKLYN RULES is an outstanding coming-of-age drama set on the mean streets of Brooklyn. In 1974, Michael Turner (Paulo Araujo), Bobby Canzoneri (Daniel Tay), and Carmine Mancuso (Ty Reed) are three young friends who like to think of themselves as tough guys. After they find a dead body--and a gun--their lives are in for a change. Eleven years later, Michael (Freddie Prinze Jr.) is working at a deli and studying at Columbia; Bobby (Jerry Ferrara) is a ne'er-do-well who's nervous about proposing to his girlfriend, Amy (Monica Keena); and Carmine (Scott Caan) is starting to do small jobs for the local mob, run by Caesar Manganaro (Alec Baldwin). At school, Michael falls for one of his classmates, Ellen (Mena Suvari), a society girl who sees through his preppie persona and is attracted to his tougher side. Michael wants nothing to do with the mob, but Carmine mistakenly gets him involved with Caesar, jeopardizing his career--and his life. Engaging and wholly believable, BROOKLYN RULES was written by Terence Winter, an Emmy-winning writer and executive producer of THE SOPRANOS, inspired by events from his own life; in fact, the real-life Carmine, Chris Caldovino, appears in the film as Philly, Caesar's right-hand man. Director Michael Corrente (FEDERAL HILL) shot the film in less than a month on location in Brooklyn and Manhattan, capturing the heart and soul of the characters and the neighborhoods. The period soundtrack features songs by Dire Straits, Van Halen, Billy Idol, Culture Club, and ABC. Copyright (C) Muze Inc. 2005. For personal use only. All rights reserved. |
